A Wedding Celebration
Jillinda and Aaron
1. How did you meet?
Aaron: We were set up. Set up I tell ya! No, really. Rogene Moody introduced us to each other at the ABCCR Annual Gathering in October 2005.
Jillinda: If you want more details than that, email me.
2. What was your first date like?
Jillinda: Quiet. Very quiet.
Aaron: Lunch at Red Robin and then the Chronicles of Narnia. Do I know romantic or what?
3. What does he/she do for a living?
Jillinda: I currently work in Human Resources at G.L. Huyett, a manufacturing company located in Minneapolis, KS.
Aaron: I work at CJOnline.com, the online department for the Topeka Capital-Journal newspaper.
4. Where the heck is Minneapolis, Kansas?
Jillinda: Minneapolis is a small town located about 20 miles north of Salina, KS, just off of highway 81.
Aaron: Minneapolis is a two hour drive from Topeka.
5. Who proposed and how?
Aaron: Sitting together on the couch in her parents' house, no one else around, I asked her what she would say if I asked her to marry me. When she said that she would say yes, I asked her to marry me.
Jillinda: And I said yes.
6. Why no engagement ring?
Aaron: We're picky.
Jillinda: Please please please don't make me go ring shopping again! We tried, we really did. We apparently don't like traditional engagement rings. We will have matching wedding bands.
9. Where is the wedding?
The wedding will be at the Antioch Baptist Church in Ada, KS. The reception will be at the Ada Community Building, just a few blocks away from the church.
10. Why Ada, Kansas, and where the heck is it?
As to where Ada is, it's about 10 miles west of Minneapolis. What, you need a map now?
11. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
Right after the wedding we're taking some time off to settle in. We're planning on a trip to Prague, Czech Republic, in 2007.
13. Where are you going to work?
Jillinda: My last day at G.L. Huyett is September 29th. I'll be looking for a job in Topeka after the wedding.
Aaron: I'm going to keep working at CJOnline.
14. Are you having kids and when?
To those of you who wouldn't dream of asking this question, you wouldn't believe how many people have.
To those of you who have, in the most loving way we can say it, we kindly ask that you mind your own business.
